The brief
The FIA Region I Spring Meeting brought member clubs of the international motoring federation to Cairo in 2024. A federation meeting is a working session first: delegates sit at classroom tables, follow the agenda closely and vote on the matters in front of them.
The brief combined two things that are often handled by different suppliers. The room needed clear screens and sound for a long working agenda, and it needed a stage identity that told delegates they were meeting in Egypt.
What the event demanded
A working room, not a show
Delegates read documents and screens for hours. Sightlines, screen placement and audio clarity matter more than effects.
A sense of place
Visiting delegations should know where they are. The stage artwork used the pyramids and the Cairo skyline within the federation's own visual identity.
Protocol at the top table
Federation officials, a formal top table and a lectern. Every microphone has to work the first time, because a formal agenda does not pause for a fix.

- Screen holding slides for breaks and transitions
Production
- Room layout planned around classroom seating and screen sightlines
- Backdrop fabrication and installation in the venue
- On-site technical crew throughout the meeting
AV production on this project was delivered by the global AV production team at AVE Events.
Local fabrication, local knowledge
A printed and built backdrop is faster, cheaper and easier to correct when it is made in Cairo. Producing it locally meant artwork changes could be absorbed close to the event date without freight or customs in the way.
