The brief
The Egypt EU Investment Conference brought Egyptian government, European Union representatives and investors together in Cairo in 2024 to present investment opportunities and agreements between the two sides.
Government conferences set their own rules. Senior officials, official flags, formal speaking order and press coverage all shape how the room is built and run.
What the event demanded
Protocol drives the room
Flag placement, speaker order and seating follow protocol. Stage design and screen content have to respect both delegations equally.
Two audiences in one room
Egyptian and European delegations, investors and press follow the same programme. Sound and screens must serve all of them.
Moments that are photographed
Announcements and signings are captured by press cameras. The stage backdrop and lighting have to work in the photograph as well as in the room.

Government events run on government time
In Cairo, a high-level government event can change schedule or venue access at short notice. Working with a local production team means those changes are absorbed on site without the programme losing its standard.
