We collect information you provide directly to us when submitting event inquiry forms, requesting proposals, or subscribing to our newsletter. This includes your name, email address, company name, phone number, and event details. We also collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited when you use our website. For payment processing, we may collect billing information including company registration details and tax identification numbers as required by Egyptian tax law.

We use the information we collect to respond to your event inquiries and proposal requests, send you relevant information about Egypt as a MICE destination, provide our event planning and management services, process payments and issue invoices in compliance with Egyptian tax regulations, improve our website and services, and send periodic newsletters if you have opted in. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as required to provide our services (e.g., partner hotels, venues, and logistics providers) or as required by Egyptian law.

All payment transactions are processed through licensed banking channels in compliance with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) regulations. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive financial information on our servers. Payment data is handled exclusively by CBE-regulated banking institutions and licensed payment processors. Wire transfer details provided for invoice payment are transmitted via encrypted channels and retained only for the duration required by Egyptian commercial and tax law (currently 5 years per Egyptian Tax Authority requirements). For international transactions, we comply with CBE foreign exchange reporting requirements and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations as stipulated by Egyptian Law No. 80 of 2002 and its amendments.

Your data is stored securely on servers located in the European Union. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Access to your personal data is restricted to AVE Egypt staff who need it to perform their job functions. We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Financial records are retained for the minimum period required by Egyptian tax law. We conduct regular security reviews and maintain incident response procedures in accordance with international best practices.

When you apply for a role through our careers pages, we collect the information you provide in the application form — your name, email address, telephone number, LinkedIn profile where given, any covering note, and the CV you upload. We use this information solely to assess your application, to contact you about it, and to keep a record of our recruitment decisions. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not share it with third parties outside AVE Egypt. Your CV is stored in encrypted, access-controlled storage. It is not publicly accessible, and it can be viewed only by the members of our team responsible for hiring. We retain application data for 12 months from the date of your application, after which it is automatically and permanently deleted, including your CV. If a role is filled, unsuccessful applicants’ data is retained for the same period so that we can consider you for future openings. You may ask us at any time to confirm what application data we hold, to correct it, or to delete it before the retention period ends. Under the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, withdraw consent for data processing at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Egyptian Data Protection Center. AVE Egypt is committed to responding to data access and deletion requests within 15 business days.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including the right to data portability, the right to object to or restrict our processing of your data, and the right not to be subject to automated decision-making. Our legal basis for processing your data is legitimate interest (responding to event inquiries), contractual necessity (delivering event services), and consent (newsletter subscriptions). As AVE Egypt serves international clients and operates with technology partners in the European Union, your data may be transferred across borders. All international data transfers comply with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law and, where applicable, GDPR. We ensure adequate safeguards are in place for any cross-border transfer, including standard contractual clauses with our EU-based service providers.

We use essential cookies required for website functionality and optional analytics cookies to understand how visitors use our site. Analytics data is anonymized and does not personally identify you. Our website uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies: Vercel (hosting and content delivery), Supabase (database and authentication, EU-hosted), Resend (transactional email delivery), and Anthropic (AI-powered event concierge). We select service providers that maintain security standards consistent with our obligations under Egyptian and European data protection law.

In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, AVE Egypt will notify the Egyptian Data Protection Center within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law. Affected individuals will be notified without undue delay if the breach is likely to result in a high risk to their personal data.
