AVE Egypt delivers complete event management and technical production for conferences and corporate events. We're hiring an AV Technician to join our operations team in Cairo.
Important: this is a multi-discipline role. You'll work across audio, video, and lighting. It is not a sound-only or video-only position. If you've spent your career on one console and want to stay there, this isn't the right fit.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, rig, and operate audio, video, and lighting systems for conferences and corporate events
- Run cabling and signal distribution according to the production plan
- Operate live sessions and solve faults in real time, in front of an audience, with no second take
- Strike, inventory, and return equipment after each event
- Test and maintain gear between projects
Requirements
- 3+ years hands-on in live events, a rental house, or conference production
- Digital audio consoles, wireless mic coordination, speaker deployment
- Video switchers, LED processing, projection, laptop-to-screen signal flow
- DMX patching and basic lighting console operation
- Network basics: IP addressing, audio-over-IP
- You'll be working with Yamaha CL/QL and DiGiCo SD consoles, d&b audiotechnik and L-Acoustics PA, Shure Axient wireless, Barco and Blackmagic ATEM video, and grandMA lighting — or similar. Solid experience on comparable platforms counts; we care that you know the signal flow, not the badge on the console.
- Military service completed or exempted (male applicants)
- Willing to travel across Egypt: Red Sea, Alexandria, New Administrative Capital, Upper Egypt
- Driving licence is a plus
- English good enough to read technical manuals and work with international clients
